Painting #14 - ZigZags

"ZigZags"
6" x 6"
(watercolor on aquabord)

Click here to purchase.  Starting bid:  $75

I love redware pottery with yellow slip.  I don't know why . . . except perhaps it reminds me of hot dogs with yellow mustard.  :)  This is #14 in Leslie Saeta's 30 Day Painting Challenge.

Have a good rest of your weekend!

Lucky 13!

"Hallie"
6" x 6"
(watercolor on aquabord)

Click here to bid.  Starting bid:  $75

I think my sister-in-law, Hallie, gave me this jug a few years ago.  Or else I bought this when I was with her.  I can't remember exactly -- all I know is that it reminds me of her every time I look at it.  On second thought, perhaps it is just because it is tall and slender like her.  Ha!

This is #13 -- Thank you for visiting.

Back In The Saddle

"Bittersweet"
6" x 6"
(watercolor on aquabord)

Click here to bid.  Starting bid:  $75

As you know, I finished my commission and my client picked it up this morning.  It's a gift, so hopefully it's well-received.  Now that that's complete, I'm back at the 30 in 30.  Here's my #9.  Now I'm out of sync with the dates and have to keep telling my OCD self that that's okay.  Ha!  :)

Thank you for stopping by.

Day off

My plate is really full this month and so I've given myself permission to take time off from Leslie Saeta's 30 Day Challenge if I need it.  Even God took a day off, right?  Although I don't know that painting a painting a day is equivalent to creating . . . well, EVERYTHING.  Ha!  But seriously,  I think 25 paintings would be perfect actually, because I love the square.  My paintings are square and 25 would give me a 5 x 5 square of paintings.  :)

So instead here is a recap of my paintings so far. I like them all together.  Yippee!  See you tomorrow.

Thanks for swinging by.

#6 - Uncle

"Uncle"
6" x 6"
(watercolor on paper)

Click here to bid.  Starting bid:  $75

You're probably wondering why I've named this painting "Uncle." Well, I'll tell you.  I was very close to calling Uncle" on this one before finishing it.  I really feel like I've lost my painting mojo.  The last few paintings have really been tough.  And it's early in the game . . .  oh boy.

Thank you for visiting.

#4 - Little Brown Jug

"Little Brown Jug"
6" x 6"
(watercolor on aquabord)

Click here to bid.  Starting bid:  $75

Tonight's post is going to be brief.  It's past my bedtime.  I struggled with this one today.  Got a late start as I had some other obligations to attend to and then it gave me trouble.  Thank you, little brown jug.  :)  I think I'm finally satisfied.

Thanks for stopping by.

Really Big Bowl

"Really Big Bowl" - wip1
12" x 16"

I did some more work on the big shoe yesterday, but nothing too noticeable. However, I started this one. I won't be keeping the name -- "Really Big Bowl" so if anyone has a suggestion, let me know. I just wanted to call attention to the size of this piece. If I do say so myself, it looks pretty cool in person.  I love working bigger than life with objects. Someday I'll have to try something on a full sheet. (That's if I'm feeling really wild and crazy!)  :) I'll be sure to post my shoe progress soon. Thanks for taking a look.  Have a great day.

Building A Painting (part 1)

So while the snow flies here in Massachusetts, I thought you might like to see what I'm working on. The overall dimensions of this painting are 17.5" x 24" -- much larger than I normally work. We'll see how it goes. Have a good day and thank you for taking a peek.
