Day #2 - Underway

"Perched" - wip
8" x 8"
(watercolor on aquabord)

Because I know that I won't be completing a painting a day for the next month, I decided I would post my progress. You'll be able to catch a glimpse into my crazy way of painting.

starting #3 -- "Heinz" - wip
12" x 12"
(watercolor on aquabord)

I like to skip around. You've probably figured that out if you've followed my blog.

"SOS" - wip
6" x 6"
(watercolor on aquabord)

I chose colorful packaging and/or time-tested, classic products for my paintings.  While I put some thought into the planning, admittedly, I didn't really labor over which products to paint.  I'm mostly doing this just for the fun of it.  There's nothing really deep about this series.  Although I think it's an interesting recording of the packaging of contemporary products.

The first three paintings ...
6" x 6" -- 12" x 12" -- 8" x 8"

I'm enjoying putting together this cohesive series and the colors and details are easily keeping my attention. I'm having a good time!  ... and isn't that important?

Thank you for popping by.

"Value #4"

"Value #4"
8" x 8"
(watercolor on paper)

It's Day 10 but this is my fourth painting in Leslie Saeta's 30 Day Painting Challenge.  I've been painting close to every day (although I took off Sunday to work on an outdoor project) and am really enjoying this groove I'm in.  (And those of you who know me, know how much I like to groove!)  :)

Thanks for stopping by.  Oh and I've included another progress shot of the larger geranium painting if you scroll down.  It's coming along.

Still painting

"Value #4"  - sip
8" x 8"
(watercolor on paper)

I've decided to try and complete 3 paintings per week for Leslie Saeta's "30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge."  This is my fourth, although it's not quite done  . . . I'm just letting it set a bit while I work on some others.

I've also begun a few larger pieces, one of which I've posted below as a couple of progress shots.  It's actually a little further along and I'm hoping to wrap it up this week.  So while my blog may have been idle a few days, I certainly have not.  :)

Cheers to all!  Thank you for stopping by.

This is the third painting in my series as part of Leslie Saeta's "30 Day Painting Challenge." Hope you like it.  These studies are really helping with my observation of value I think . . . I hope.  :)

Have a good day!

Shorter Post Today

"Vessels"

Rest assured that today's post is much shorter than yesterday's.  :)  Above is a collage of the 15 paintings I completed for Leslie Saeta's "30 Day Painting Challenge" in September.  What a great event and motivator -- thank you, Leslie!

I would also like to thank Nancy over at Giclee of New England in Palmer for the beautiful fine art prints of my paintings -- she does wonderful work!

(clockwise from top left:  "Backyard Sunlight," "Knight's Store,"
"Morning Sun," "E-Z," and "Parlor Afternoon")

I am working on getting my new online store up and running.  In the meantime, if you see a print you may be interested in purchasing, please don't hesitate to email me at kkoz517@charter.net.  Have a great day and thanks for popping by.

Painting #14 - ZigZags

"ZigZags"
6" x 6"
(watercolor on aquabord)

Click here to purchase.  Starting bid:  $75

I love redware pottery with yellow slip.  I don't know why . . . except perhaps it reminds me of hot dogs with yellow mustard.  :)  This is #14 in Leslie Saeta's 30 Day Painting Challenge.

Have a good rest of your weekend!

Back At It - Painting #12

"Blue Pitcher"
6" x 6"
(watercolor on aquabord)
I've been traveling and haven't been home much this week until today.  I have a client who may be interested in purchasing this painting, so I'm not putting it up for auction unless they're not interested.  This is my #12 in Leslie Saeta's "30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge."

Thank you for stopping by.

Click here to bid.  Starting bid:  $75

This is a piece of redware pottery decorated with yellow slip made at Old Sturbridge Village.  I love redware pottery and have a small collection.

I know I won't be able to post a finish painting tomorrow as I have a hectic schedule, but hopefully I'll see you on Tuesday.  Have a good start to the week!  Thank you for visiting.
