Delivery

"Really Big Shoe"
. . . all framed and ready to go!

Before spending a great day today with my 90-year old grandmother (who ran me ragged, by the way!)  :)  . . . I dropped off these two paintings in Monson, MA for the Monson Art Council's Spring Show.  The opening reception is next weekend, so if you're in the area be sure to come by - the exhibit will be open for a few weekends after.  More information is available at their website.

"Nature's Candy"
(not sure how this is appearing on your screens - I had a tough time making it look
okay on mine, so hopefully it doesn't look TOO crazy on your monitor)

Really Big Shoe - final

"Really Big Shoe"
12" x 21"
Well hello again!  I finally decided that "Really Big Shoe" is done but I haven't yet decided what to do with her.  I will most likely put her up for sale soon, so stay tuned.

In other news . . . here's the link to Boston's Chronicle, specifically the segment my husband and I were on last night with a few of our neighbors.  The producer did a wonderful job putting it all together.  Doesn't our town look great? . . . don't you want to come visit?  And I was very grateful that they showcased so many of my paintings.  Also, I've added a couple more shots below of my husband's model railroad in case you're interested.  It really is something.  See . . . you don't have to be a kid to still play!  :)

Thanks for coming by . . . have a lovely rest of your day.

Really Big Shoe - Take Two

"Really Big Shoe"
12" x 22"

I've got three projects going on here in the studio. Above is the progress shot on "Really Big Shoe." (I think I may have made a small mistake on its measurements in my last post. It's bigger than life -- unless you're a giant -- you get the picture.) Also I just finished and am very grateful to have sold "Winery I" shown below. Thanks for stopping by . . . stay tuned for more progress shots later this week.  :)

I bet you thought by the title, that this post was going to be about Ed Sullivan.  :)  Nope.  It's just my favorite shoe to paint, making its appearance again.  So here are the first couple of washes with some masking on the polka dots.

In other news, I received word that both of my paintings made it into the Monson Arts Council's Spring Show.  In case you forgot which ones I entered, I've re-posted them below.  Have a great weekend and thank you for coming by.
