Jumping Around

I haven't finished anything yet, but I AM working.  :)  As you can see, I'm still in the 6"x 6" aquabord groove.

Sugar Pumpkin
watercolor on aquabord

I've painted a couple versions of this, although a slightly different composition and never on aquabord before.  My "painting ladies" wanted to try a pumpkin on aquabord.  I'm going at it a little more meticulously than usual.  It's fun, but time-consuming.  I'm really concentrating on the realism -- I was inspired by a gallery on Nantucket.  I need to find my style and stick with it though.  That's one of the hardest things about painting I think.

Another one that I began a long time ago.  I'm just now getting around to working on it again. Have a lovely day and thank you for stopping by.

Updated

"Autumn Sunlight"
5.25" x 7.5"

(what this painting could look like framed)

You may notice that this is cropped a little differently than the last post.  I think by pulling it in a little more on the left makes a more pleasing arrangement of the space.  However, I will leave the painting as is and let the buyer decide what to do.  Make no bones about it, I'm definitely NOT ready for Fall, but I DO love pumpkins (and painting "wallpaper").

Have a great day . . . and thank you for looking!

Don't Worry It's Still Summer

"Autumn Sunlight"
approx. 5" x 11"

I'm just finishing up some tiny details on this but thought I'd post anyway.  I started this painting as a little study to help a student of mine with washes on a pumpkin but decided to turn it into a "real" painting and finished it up (almost) this evening.  I'll complete the little details in the morning and photograph it in the daylight.  Hope you are having a delightful summer (everyone in this hemisphere anyway) . . . don't worry Autumn isn't here yet.  :)
