Fussing

Untitled
8"x 8"
(watercolor on paper)

Here's a little "sketch" I worked on all day today.  :)  I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do with it . . . I think I just need to "sit on it" a bit.  There are lots of elements I really like about it, while others not so much.  Honestly though, I think it actually looks better in person -- is that the painting equivalent of "he/she's got a great personality?"  Ha!  Anyway, I'll be contemplating what to do with it.

A progress shot is below . . . thank you for stopping by.

Happy Birthday America

"Jubilee"
5" x 5"

(what this painting could look like framed)

I really do like painting on Ampersand's Aquabord.  This is another small painting done on the board and finished with a gloss acrylic sealer.

Below is an image of that larger piece I'm working on - it has progressed a little since the last time I posted it and thought you might like to see.  Until the next time I post -- I hope all you American's have a joyful Fourth of July!

In The Works

"Black-eyed Susans" -- wip

"Black-eyed Susans" (detail)

"Black-eyed Susans" (detail)

Here's the old painting that I mentioned in a previous post.  I recently unearthed it and decided to work on it again.  It's a big one for me -- 16" x 16" -- especially for all this detail.  I'm not sure how accurate the colors are to the original painting as I didn't spend any time trying to even calibrate them to my monitor -- but you can at least get an idea of what the heck I'm doing.  The last image is a little blurry -- oh well.  Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!
