Grapes In White Pfaltzgraff

Grapes in White Pfaltzgraff
6" x 7.5"

(what this painting could look like framed)

I bought these dishes when I moved into my first apartment back in the mid-1990's.  It was such a cute place!  The dishes are simple and classic and very sturdy.  I have a special place in my heart for Pfaltzgraff as I grew up with my mom's Yorktowne pattern and presently own Villa Flora.  I actually no longer have the white place settings but still have this serving bowl.  It's one of my favorites.

  1. Been thinking of trying watercolors, but seeing yours makes me wonder if that is a good idea. You nailed this one.

  2. Gorgeous Kara. I love the way you use negative space in your compositions - gives the eye somewhere to rest after exploring all the great detail. Lovely highlight/shadow in the fruit, too. ♥KB

  3. I love the contrast of the mechanical plate and the round forms of the grapes, and the surface texture of these grapes a so vivid!
