New Year . . . New Paintings . . . and Calendars

Happy New Year!  Here's a snapshot of some new paintings I'm working on. (I like this series.) I'm also working on scheduling classes for 2016 so stay tuned.  And I still have some calendars list if you're interested. So many things to do and think about it.  A new year is always very exciting!  Thank you for stopping on by.  :)

Studio Work

watercolors on paper - mounted on cradled board
8" x 8"

I've been skipping right along in the studio this week.  I started some new paintings, worked on some photos for future paintings, edited notecard designs, and finalized mounting some paintings.

This next one is going rather slowly.  It's a little larger for me, 18"x 24" - and I've been layering and layering, working on the lower mullions.  But I'm pleased with how they're coming along.

Number Five!

"Value #5"
8" x 8"
(watercolor on paper)

It's been a little hectic around here with some family projects and appointments, but all is well.  I just haven't found time to finish paintings and post.  But I'm still painting.  It brings me such joy and peace to put my brush to paper.

Wishing you a great day full of joy and peace.  Thank you for stopping by.

Catching Up

Value #3 - work in progress
8" x 8"
(watercolor on paper)

I really enjoy working on these sepia toned pencil paintings.  This is the third one in my series as part of Leslie Saeta's "30 Day Painting Challenge."  I've decided these paintings could look very striking framed in white mats with dark brown, wooden frames, so I'll be putting them up for auction.  My plan is to have about 8 to 10 of them, all 8"x 8".  The first one is below with a link to its auction.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!  :)
