I'm Ba-aaaack!

what I've been doing in my spare time!

Oh boy . . . it's been a long time, eh?  I've needed a little break so I decided to just take it -- from painting and also from being so "plugged in."  Do any of you ever feel like that too?  I also figured, what better time to take a break, than through the holidays?  I hope you all had lovely time with friends and family with lots of love, warmth and of course, plenty of merry-making!  I must say -- I've enjoyed my little break but am also now excited to get back into my work.

My painting time has admittedly been minimal over the past few weeks.  I think that 30 day challenge in September took more out of me than I originally thought.  It was a great experience, but while Leslie is conducting one right now for the month of January, I just couldn't pull myself together in time.  Even to commit to painting everyday in January was too much.  But I am happily getting back into the swing of things, just slowly.  And am working on an 8x8 commission that I can't quite share with you yet.

In the meantime, I decided to start another blog.  This one is for my "mini-making."  In the past, I've posted a couple photos on this blog, of my dollhouse, but decided a separate one was in order.  You can visit it here.  It's been wonderful working on my little house -- which has helped to feed my creativity while I took a little break from painting.  It's also given me renewed inspiration for painting.  I don't let my "dry spells" get me down - I always know they'll pass - so thank you for your patience.  I look forward to sharing with you some of my new work in the next few weeks.  :)
