Another Progress Shot . . . and Rejection

Just thought I'd share this shot of my progress on these 3 paintings. Also, I entered "A Moments Rest" in the Academic Artists Association's show and was rejected. You just never know. So if you're a beginner out there (most of us who've been doing this for a while know already) -- you just can't get down or take it personally if you get rejected from a juried show -- it happens to all of us at one time or another and I've definitely had my fair share . . . with many more to come I'm sure.

I've included a couple shots of "A Moment's Rest" all framed up because I thought it came out really well.

Have a great day!

  1. Bonjour,
Je suis admirative devant cette dernière oeuvre et le souci du détail.
Celles avec les fruits sont également merveilleuses et j'aime leurs couleurs vivifiantes.
Un très joli travail dans la lumière.
    Gros bisous

    1. Thank you, Martine. I'm glad you like the fruit paintings. They're a lot of fun. I do bounce around though, don't I? I love color -- but then I also love more subdued paintings. I just can't seem to make up my mind. I guess it just goes along with my moods -- loud and silly, then tired, quiet and contemplative. Although I'm probably loud and silly more than my paintings reflect. :)
