Brimfield's back!  If you haven't heard of it, it is one of the best and largest antique markets in the U.S.  It's running now, the first week of September and is just a few towns over from me.

Back at its July show, I purchased some miniature redware vessels.  I knew I could use them for little floral arrangements and in still lifes. This one is a miniature (about 5" high) pitcher.  So in homage to the Brimfield Antique Market here's painting #3 in Leslie Saeta's "30 in 30 Challenge."

A Collector's Photograph

Happy Monday everyone!  I've been meaning to post these photos for a little while now. One of my lovely collectors, L.S., was so kind as to email me, a photo of one of my paintings in its new home. How sweet was that!? I was truly tickled to receive it, AND, she graciously gave me permission to share the photo with you.Even though L.S. lives down south now, her memories and fondness for her New England upbringing remain strong, evident in her beautiful hutch and stunning redware collection. When she saw my painting "Redware Tea" she immediately recognized the Old Sturbridge Village mug and as you can see, her new painting fits right in! Thank you L.S.!!  :)  

It's nice to know that even though some of my paintings may have a "New England-y" feel to them, one doesn't necessarily have to live here to relate.

`Finished this one this afternoon, hope you like it.  I'm back doing some final touches on my raspberry painting and laying down washes on my other new one. How's that for suspense? I'm hoping to post that one all finished by Friday. I better get moving!

I was hoping I would have this finished by now, but I worked on another unfinished piece and started another painting. :o (Forgive me, I couldn't resist -- oh and that's my surprise face in case you couldn't tell.) BUT like I said, I am working on other unfinished paintings as well, so it's all good. :) I still could finish this one by tonight, but I wouldn't be able to photograph it until it's dark out, so I decided to give you what I have right now. And just think, you now can look forward to reading my next few posts where I reveal a few new surprises: hopefully a couple finished paintings and a new one revealed!  Have a great night and thanks for reading.
