Lights . . . Camera . . . Auction!

"Daisies Squared"
6" x 6"
(watercolor on aquabord)

After struggling a bit on the background I finally came up with something I like.  "Daisies Squared" is a square composition of an earlier painting I did on paper (that one was a long rectangle).  I decided to put this little one up for auction on my DailyPaintworks site. Bidding begins at $100. This painting doesn't come framed, however the image below shows what it could look like when framed.

(although this painting does not come framed, this is what it could look like)

Thanks so much for visiting!  I'm off to paint the next . . .

Glass Houses

"Glass Houses"
6" x 6"
(watercolor on aquabord)
starting bid:  $75

I managed to finish this little ditty tonight.  I think it's a cute little painting for a kitchen and would look great in a contemporary floater frame.

Giggle Giggle, Wink Wink

"Giggle Giggle, Wink Wink"
12" x 12"
(watercolor on aquabord)

This is the first of two Valentine paintings I've recently completed.  I think they go along with my food/pantry theme as well as hitting the mark for the holiday.  I hope you enjoy them both . . . stay tuned for "Cutie Pie."

Need A Special Valentine?

"Paper Heart No. 1"
6" x 6"
(watercolor on paper)

Click here to bid.  Starting bid:  $60

Do you need a special Valentine for your special Valentine?  This little painting is perfect.  Actually it's a lovely little painting to cheer up anyone or any space (if I do say so myself).  It's painted on paper and comes matted in a white mat that measures 10" x 10."  I've reduced the price from $75 to a starting bid of $60 and I will even wrap it in my new Valentine gift wrap for the winning bidder!  :)

The image below is how this painting could look when framed.  I think it's adorable.

"A Dear Friend"
6" x 6"
watercolor on cradled aquabord
starting bid:  $75

This is a little painting I did as a demonstration for a few of my art students last night.  I just love the look of sepia paintings.

The painting is on cradled aquabord as shown below and is ready to hang.

Thank you for viewing my work.  Have a great start to your weekend . . . TGIF!

No, This Isn't Garlic

"White Pumpkin"
8" x 8"
(watercolor on cradled aquabord)
starting bid:  $70

At first I wasn't sure if I should actually name this painting "Not Garlic" but I decided not to.  :)  It's actually a small white pumpkin and I wanted to experiment with whites.  Not to mention I needed another square gourd painting for the month of October on my 2017 calendar.

Today is the first day of the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge that Leslie Saeta hosts.  I know that I won't be able to paint 30 paintings, but I've challenged myself to begin a series of 9 paintings:  three 6" x 6" -- three 8" x 8" -- and three 12" x 12" paintings.  I've been inspired by a commission I just completed, so stay tuned in to see my progress.  I don't know if I'll be able to complete the 9 paintings in one month, but I intend to try.  I'm excited.

Thanks for checking in   . . . have a lovely day!

But It's Still Summer!

"Winter Sunlight"
8" x 10"
(watercolor on aquabord)
starting bid:  $100

Click here to bid or buy now.

Why Winter?  Well, because I'm working on my annual calendar and Christmas cards so I can have them printed in time for my Open House in October.  I didn't have a very good image for December, so I adapted a reference photo I had taken a few years ago of this lovely, little porch in Spring . . . made a few changes and voila!

(what this painting could look like when framed)

While this is going to be the image for December 2017, I think it looks more like February or even March . . . with a rather faded wreath that has yet to have been taken down.  That's pretty how I roll. I won't tell you how long my decorations are usually up for!  :)

Have a great day!  I'll be back with a few more finished commissions soon.

Christmas?!

"Nantucket Christmas"
9.25" x 5.5"
(watercolor on paper)

What am I thinking?!  I can't say I'm looking forward to winter, but I am looking forward, preparing for my 2015 Christmas cards.  So this is my first design for this year.  My Thursday morning ladies inspired me . . . the "beachy" window was their idea.  I'm so lucky to have such creative students!

I haven't yet come up with the inside sentiment, but if you'd like more information about getting a jump on the holidays and ordering cards, please email me kkoz517@charter.net.

Number Five!

"Value #5"
8" x 8"
(watercolor on paper)

It's been a little hectic around here with some family projects and appointments, but all is well.  I just haven't found time to finish paintings and post.  But I'm still painting.  It brings me such joy and peace to put my brush to paper.

Wishing you a great day full of joy and peace.  Thank you for stopping by.

"Value #4"

"Value #4"
8" x 8"
(watercolor on paper)

It's Day 10 but this is my fourth painting in Leslie Saeta's 30 Day Painting Challenge.  I've been painting close to every day (although I took off Sunday to work on an outdoor project) and am really enjoying this groove I'm in.  (And those of you who know me, know how much I like to groove!)  :)

Thanks for stopping by.  Oh and I've included another progress shot of the larger geranium painting if you scroll down.  It's coming along.
