Framed!

"Princeton Barn"
12" x 9"
(framed watercolor on aquabord)
Sold

I did some framing over the weekend and decided to share the fruits of my labor.  "Princeton Barn" is framed in a beautiful plein air frame from Randy Higbee's collection.  The other three, shown below are framed in Ampersand's black floater frames.

I am happy to announce that "Princeton Barn" has found its "forever home" (many thanks to my newest collectors) and now "Truro Light" is looking to find its new home.  I'm going to hang onto the Amsterdam paintings for shows, but if you are interested in "Truro Light" you can get a better view of it at my DPW Gallery.

Embarrassed

"Winter Window"
16" x 11.75"
(watercolor on aquabord)
Sold

Every time I take a little haitus from blogging (and it's usually unintentional - I just get busy) I always feel a little embarrassed coming back.  I know that sounds crazy, but the longer I'm away, the more self-conscious I get and the harder it is to post.  Do you ever feel like that?  Anyway . . . I'm back.  It's been a while as I've been busy with painting and preparing for my art show/reception at the Palmer Public Library, painting and designing.  So there's lots of news to tell.

First up:  I am very grateful to my friend and fellow artist, Jennifer Kahn Barlow for featuring me on her beautiful blog.  You can read the interview here.  If you've never visited Jen's site, you MUST . . . she is a fantastic oil painter as demonstrated in one of her paintings below.

Next:  I had a wonderful reception at the Palmer Public Library on December 3rd.  Unfortunately I don't have many photos of the evening, but that's because I was very busy greeting the many friends, family and collectors who all came out to support me.  I can't even begin to explain how grateful and appreciative I am.  I'm very blessed.

The exhibit will be extended through January, so hopefully if you are in the area you will have time after the holidays to take a peek . . . if not before . . . art can make a lovely gift!  :)

My dear, college friend Kristen and I.  She surprised me!

I am excited to report I've had many sales this month, including two from the Randy Higbee Show in California.  "July Geraniums" is still up for sale, and if you're interested in purchasing you can do so through this DailyBrushwork link.  The painting is framed floating in the black and gold frame as indicated below.  I'm sure it looks lovely as Randy Higbee always does a beautiful job framing.

Thank you so much to my generous collectors.

Lastly . . . I have gift certificates available for that artist or art-lover in your life.  The amount is up to you . . . and can go toward a purchase or class.  Contact me at kkoz517@charter.net if you are interested.

. . . and I have ordered calendars . . . finally!  They should be in this week.  I have designed both a Fisher Price desk calendar and a traditional wall calendar.  I will be creating a Paypal link tonight and will post tomorrow.

Whew!  Lots of news!  Thank you for stopping by.  Hope you are enjoying this holiday season.

Finished and Accepted

"New Braintree Winter" - "July Geraniums" - Provincetown Path"

Lots going on in the studio these days . . .

I'm happy to announce that the three paintings I submitted to the Randy Higbee Gallery's "6 Inch Squared" show have been accepted. I'll be shipping those out today to have them framed and will have more details regarding how to purchase them in the weeks to come, so stay tuned.

I also finished up my painting, "Holiday Greetings."  It was tough to finish.  I was getting a little bored with all the final details and had to just push on.  Does that ever happen to you?

I will be making these into Christmas cards, along with "Nantucket Christmas." They are $2 per card with envelope, so if you're interested in ordering any, email me.  There is an example of what the Nantucket card will look like below and I will be posting the finished "Holiday Greetings" card soon, along with their inside sentiments.

July Geraniums

"July Geraniums"
6" x 6"
(watercolor on aquabord)

This is another 6"x6" painting I did over the weekend.  It's a smaller, square version of the larger painting I've been working on. This photo isn't that great, but it gives you an idea of the painting.  I'm going to enter this one in the Randy Higbee show as well as "New Braintree Winter."

Thank you for stopping in, now back to painting . . .

Lots of Painting

"New Braintree Winter"
6" x 6"
(watercolor on aquabord)

I did a lot of painting over the weekend. Randy Higbee's "6 Inch Squared" show quickly approaching, so I decided I better paint a couple entries. The deadline is this week! I also worked on a second 6"x 6" entry, two 8"x 8"sepia paintings, the yellow Christmas house, the geraniums and another larger painting. I'm having an exhibit at the Palmer Public Library in December, so I'd like to get some new larger paintings done for that. I'll have more information on that show in the next couple weeks, so stay tuned. Lots of hustling in the studio!

Hope you had a great weekend.  Thank you for stopping by the blog!

Randy Higbee - 6" Squared Show

I hope all my U.S. friends had a wonderful day yesterday.  I'm still feeling a little stuffed but it's all good . . . we had a great visit with my dad, brother and sister-in-law, her folks and brother.  Everything was wonderful - food, company and a lovely, welcoming home.  My brother and sister-in-law always "do it up" just beautifully.  And when we returned home, the doggies were all snuggly and seemed to have enjoyed their afternoon/evening without incident.  :)

And now onto business . . . I'm pleased to announce that these two paintings will be included in the Randy Higbee Gallery's "6 Inch Squared Show" in California.  So if you are in the vicinity, click on the link to find out when you can stop in and see the show.  Unfortunately for me, it is just too inconvenient a commute!  :)  Have a pleasant day and thanks for stopping by.  Oh . . . and let the carols begin, eh?!  So fun hearing the Christmas music on the radio again.  As my friend June would say, "it just puts you in a good mood!"
