Still inspired by Nita Engle's book, I've been doing some more experimenting with washes and wonderful, yet pesky masking fluid. I have a love/hate relationship with that stuff and avoid it at all costs. Unfortunately, I couldn't do without it on this painting.

oh this looks fabulous....I can see the influences of letting it paint itself. I have that book too. My idea for summer was to dive into some of my books too and actually do the exercises instead of just reading them....you inspire me to crack the books.
