Aaaahhh, the phone booth. Just another item going the way of the dinosaur. I wish I had room in my house for an old wooden phone booth. How cool would that be? Just tuck it in the corner of a giant mudroom or entry way.

So this is my entry for day 12 of Leslie Saeta's 30 Day September Challenge. I hope you like it. And a big thank you to all who've taken the time to comment and share your memories -- I so enjoy reading your notes. You inspire me to keep going.

Thank you for viewing my work.

  1. I guess I'm not the first to say it... but I love love love your Little People paintings! I wish I still had mine! Your paintings are beautifully rendered and so whimsical. They make me smile every time I see one!

  2. Ditto on what Cindy said. These have been awesome. I feel happier after seeing a Kara Bigda painting! Looking forward to the next part of the month :)

  3. I cannot have enough of your "little people" paintings! They are just filled with joy and playfulness... There is one even here where I live that I think will be perfect for these little guys. I will scout out this year, and if it is as good as I think, next year I will send you some info packages -- it is an art show but artists can have up to 30 pieces of little matted originals, prints or boxed cards to sell in the center for up the entire show of 3 months besides their main hanging wall pieces, so if you are juried in, you can send everything to me and I can bring it there for you. I was there last year and it was fantastic for me, we'll see how it goes this year. (I've printed out some of your recent paintings to bring to the art center director to see this time ;-) Anyway, hope this all sell fast! And I think they definitely will...
