Something Old, Something New . . .

This is my entry for the latest DPW Challenge: Paint a Superstition.  I put a little twist on the wedding tradition:  "something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue"  I used an old linen napkin, the bowl is borrowed from my friend Annie, the blueberries are "new" and well -- you can figure out the rest.  :)  I hope you enjoy it as I had a lot of fun painting it.  Have a great day.

  2. Really lovely! I like the subtle shades in the napkin. The touch of orange looks great with the blues.

  3. Kara, nice solution to the painting challenge! Your composition works very well. The large patterned area gives balance to the rest of the space. Nice hit of warmth to balance the blue. And those berries: wow, so believable!

    Enjoy! Eileen
