So . . . I think we're done here. I mean . . . I could continue to fiddle all day long with this thing, but at some point you have to ask yourself, "have I said enough to get my point across?" I think I have.
The title seems to be a bit obvious, albeit boring, but here's a little backstory that lets you in on my private joke: Earlier this week I picked up my first pair of bifocals from the optician! So as you can SEE (ha, ha) . . . "coke bottles" has a double meaning for me. I shall always remember this painting fondly . . . as yet another significant step toward old-age! Ha! But really, it is SO delightful to see again!

Brilliant. I think your handling of the glass is quite brilliant! The lettering is awesome and I admire your steady handy.
ReplyDeleteLove the story of your glasses. My own are truly "coke bottles" but with the newer lenses, no where near as heavy.
Congrats on your sale. This is an outstanding painting! I loved looking at it and studying all of the detail!
